Micro Vision was established in 1990 aiming to develop satellite communication technology in Sri Lanka for domestic and commercial operations. In 1997, Micro Vision was converted to a private limited liability company and recognized as Micro Vision Satellite Systems (Pvt) Ltd.
In 2009, the renewable energy division was formulated in absorbing prevailing technologies in Solar, Wind and Hydro Power Industry
In the latter part of the year 2013, Micro Vision affiliated with Mitsubishi Electric Solar Photovoltaic -Japan to deliver solar-net metering systems and solutions for domestic and industrial markets.
